007 Elements

007 Elements is a cinema museum opened in 2018 on the site of the ice Q restaurant in Sölden, a village in the Ötztal Alps of Tyrol. It sits inside galleries carved into the summit of Gaislachkogel mountain at 3,056 metres above sea level. The museum explores the world of the James Bond 007 film series through exhibits and installations.
The project grew from the filming of Spectre, directed by Sam Mendes between 2014 and 2015. Scenes for the movie were shot at the same altitude, using the restaurant’s dramatic mountain setting. The museum extends that cinematic experience with displays that bring Bond’s missions to life. Visitors move through themed spaces that recreate key locations and moments from the films.
Inside, interactive exhibits show how stunts and effects were achieved. Outside, the building’s glass walls frame views of the surrounding Ötztal Alps. The journey up the mountain by cable car adds to the sense of reaching a special place. The museum’s high-altitude setting makes it a unique destination for film fans and mountain visitors alike.
